The Independent today

The Independent today has a positive photo on its front page. Two smiling African children playing with water. The paper is launching a Christmas appeal. I think poeple are buying the paper, looking at it … but the photo comes as a little surprise in the middle of all the rest of the bad news. Its also plainly a nice, good, professional photograph ... folks are fed up with conflicts ... and the news about the killing of a City boss in Chelsea is not making people smiling.
