The News: Ukraine nr. 2 and 3 .... and blame it on love
The Home Secretary here in the UK, David Blunkett, is still number one news at lunchtime on most TV channels and on front pages for abusing his position to get a visa. The visa was for a nanny so his secret lover could be his secret lover. He is being criticised. But where is the nanny, she should be put into jail, say, ten years ... Blunkett needs to get on with his service to the country. I think thou one doesnt need to go far to get the reply "Blunkett? Blunkett who"?
Well, private life is a private life and a public life is a public life. The difference is that public life doesnt have an after-life, thou, there are near-death-experiances in public life I've been told. Blunkett is having one now. In Iceland they (some) would go "visa? .... so?", "Abusing his position? ....so, eveyone does it". But the Mayor of Reykjavik city, capital of Iceland, had to resign few weeks ago because of his vague responsability in a previous job. Maybe the moral is changing. In France they migth have found that misterious visa-nanny already and put her on page three in her pyjamas. ... I just offered my friend I'd vote for her as the Queen of Europe if she would buy me a return ticket to East Ukraine, including lunch with coffee, tea at the polling station and a ticket to the opening night of the new Mary Poppins show, sounds fair the fare.
