Great plays are written, not re-written
I came across this in The Guardian. Its since end of October, but there, theatre director Dominic Dromgoole says that contrary to the prevailing culture of re-writing and dramaturg-led development, great plays are almost always written in days or weeks. In films one talks about development hell when it doesnt seem to be fun anymore. You can't teach playwriting.
