The World's Favourite Words

Where is the "Father"? This I got from the Writers Guild news letter: The British Council, the government agency that promotes British culture around the globe, has reached its seventieth birthday this year and to celebrate has compiled a list of the world’s seventy favourite words in the English language. The British Council quizzed more than 40,000 people in 102 non-English speaking countries in order to compile the list, which looks like this:
